Job summary

The Chase is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to support students with SEN on a 1:1 basis across Key Stages 3 & 4. The role involves working with teachers to deliver an engaging, differentiated classroom, and supporting students to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a patient, positive approach, good communication and teamwork skills, and will help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. Fixed-term until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by secondary-aged students.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Experience working in a school environment or with young people.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and learning activities in the classroom;
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, particularly in core subjects;
• Assist with classroom organisation and resources;
• Provide support for students with additional needs, including SEND;
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement across the school.
