Job description

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: £83.85 - £100 Per Day

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant in the vibrant Grays area!

If you have experience supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, this could be the perfect role for you. We also offer free CPD-accredited courses to help develop your knowledge and understanding of SEN needs.

Job Duties:

  1. Support: Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting.
  2. Assist: Help teachers implement individual education plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.
  3. Engage: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, ensuring they understand instructions and tasks.
  4. Manage: De-escalate challenging behaviour with positivity and effective behaviour management techniques.
  5. Communicate: Build positive relationships with teachers, parents, and professionals while maintaining detailed records of each child’s progress.
  6. Nurture: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that helps children integrate into school life more easily.

Requirements:

  1. Right to work in the UK
  2. Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one
  3. Prior experience working with students with special educational needs

  5. A heart full of patience and empathy when working with students
