Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Classroom Assistant to work in a SEN Primary School in Southam on a full-time basis. You will provide tailored support to a student with Autism/ADHD and other needs, assist with IEPs, monitor progress with the teacher, and help develop independence and confidence in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

From safeguarding to records and resource preparation, you will contribute to a safe, engaging learning space and ongoing support for the child's

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and rapport-building with students.
• Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach; safeguarding focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with SEN.
• Assist with implementation of IEPs or support plans.
• Work with the class teacher to monitor progress and adapt support.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social interaction for the student.
• Support with classroom tasks, resources, and record-keeping as required.
• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Role is full-time with potential to be ongoing for the right candidate.
