Job summary

Qteg is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant for a friendly primary school in Lambeth. You will provide one-to-one support to a Year 5 pupil with SEMH needs, helping the student engage with lessons and develop social skills in a calm, safe environment.

The role requires patience and resilience; you will work closely with the class teacher and the wider school team to support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and positive relationships throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour or additional needs would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with SEMH throughout the school day.
• Support learning, behaviour and social development.
