A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. You will be working closely with a child in Year 5 who has SEMH needs, providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day. The successful 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant will need to be patient, calm and confident when supporting a child with their emotional regulation and behaviour. Your role will be to build a positive and trusting relationship with the child, helping them feel safe, supported and confident within the school environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support the child with their learning, behaviour and social development. You will help the child to engage with lessons, manage their emotions and develop positive relationships with both staff and peers.
