Job description

Job Title: Pupil Support Worker

Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall, BB4 6RX

Salary: GBP20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Fixed Term (12 months from start date), Term Time only

About the role

The Pupil Support Worker will support teachers and pupils within an assigned group, assisting with emotional, social, and behavioural wellbeing, developing educational programmes, and supporting pupils across the curriculum.

Main Tasks
  • Support pupils' emotional, social, and behavioural wellbeing.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individual educational programmes.
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups across various subjects.
  • Prepare educational materials and equipment.
  • Occasionally transport pupils after detentions or educational visits.
Job Activities
  • Work with pupils in conjunction with subject teachers.
  • Record relevant educational, social, and behavioural information.
  • Implement individual educational and behavioural programmes.
  • Promote social and emotional development through positive approaches.
  • Assist in behavioural management within the school framework.
Qualifications
  • Ideally Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
