Job summary

Academics in Reading is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to provide 1:1 and group emotional health support for SEN students. You will collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement wellbeing plans and monitor student progress with confidentiality.

The role requires empathy, excellent communication, and emotional resilience to help students manage anxiety and develop social skills. Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm, full-time contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 emotional and mental health support to students experiencing anxiety or low mood.
• Support small groups with wellbeing activities to develop regulation and social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement individual support plans.
• Monitor and report students' wellbeing and progress with confidentiality.
