Job summary

Prospero Teaching are looking for a confident Maths Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 support to a learner in Wigan. The role is 5-15 hours per week with a start date in September 2026 and ongoing duration.

You will assess current maths knowledge, plan structured sessions around individual targets, explain concepts clearly, and monitor progress. The ideal candidate has teaching or tutoring experience, strong maths knowledge, and a DBS update or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring Maths
• Strong subject knowledge
• Experience supporting secondary-age learners desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK
• Two professional references
