Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 maths support to children and young people across Bournemouth and surrounding areas. You will work on behalf of Local Authorities, tailoring sessions to pupils from primary through to GCSE, with a focus on building confidence and mathematical understanding.

This flexible role offers opportunities to support learners with SEND and related needs, requires strong maths knowledge, and values engaging, patient teaching approaches.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting
• Strong Maths subject knowledge
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Bournemouth and surrounding areas

• Provide 1:1 maths tutoring to learners across Bournemouth and surrounding areas
• Adapt sessions to individual needs and learning styles
• Support learners with SEND/EHCPs where applicable
