Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 support to children and young people across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas, working on behalf of Local Authorities.

The role involves adapting teaching styles to meet individual needs, delivering engaging sessions, and helping learners improve confidence and mathematical understanding. Flexible hours and September start offer long‑term opportunities within the Local Authorities framework.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience in an educational setting (tutoring/teaching/TA/mentoring).
• Strong Maths subject knowledge.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 maths tutoring to children and young people.
• Adapt sessions to individual needs and learning levels.
• Support learners with SEND/EHCPs where applicable and build confidence.
