Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Christchurch and surrounding areas. The role involves tailoring sessions to individual learning styles and building confidence in maths while working on behalf of Local Authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting (tutoring, teaching, TA, learning support, mentoring, or similar).
• Strong Maths subject knowledge.
• Ability to adapt sessions to different learning styles and abilities.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 maths support to children and young people across Christchurch and surrounding areas.
• Tailor sessions to individual learning styles and abilities.
• Support learners with SEND when required and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Maintain safeguarding compliance and DBS as appropriate.
