Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant in Basingstoke to support a pupil with ADHD in Key Stage 1. You will work 1:1 with the child, collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create a calm, structured learning environment.

The role requires patience, empathy, and clear communication. A TA qualification is desirable, and the position offers ongoing training within a welcoming school community.

Qualifications

• Has experience with children who have ADHD or additional needs (preferred).
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and strong communication skills.
• Calm, reliable and committed to supporting a child's development.
• Follows guidance and uses initiative when needed.
• Holds a TA qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with ADHD during lessons.
• Follow the Individual Support Plan and EHCP guidance.
• Encourage social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Adapt activities to suit the child’s needs and learning style.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to monitor progress.
