Job summary

Greenshaw High School in Sutton, South West London, is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated academic, environmental and behavioural support for a pupil with neurodivergent needs, including ADHD-related executive function challenges.

You will work closely with class teachers, the Inclusion Team and pastoral leads to safeguard the pupil’s wellbeing, enable full access to the mainstream curriculum and help develop independence, time management and self-regulation through

Qualifications

• What candidates must have experience working with children or young people in educational, care or community settings
• Ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and parents
• Commitment to safeguarding of children
• Understanding ADHD and its impact on working memory, impulse control and executive functioning

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive 1:1 academic, environmental and behavioural support to a pupil
• Assist with exams and assessments preparation and support
• Collaborate with class teachers, Inclusion Team and pastoral leads
• Safeguard pupil wellbeing and scaffold independence, time management and self-regulation
