Job summary

Academics are seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant in the Dinas Powys area to support a pupil in a primary school. The role is 3 days per week, with a long-term commitment and opportunities across the Vale of Glamorgan.

The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support, help with learning activities, and assist with social and emotional development while following safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ALN/SEN.
• Experience supporting behavioural needs in a school setting.
• Experience working in a primary school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Help the pupil access classroom learning and activities.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Build a trusting relationship with the pupil and collaborate with staff.
