Job summary

Outcomes First Group’s Crookhey Hall School is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide consistent, personalised support to a student. You will help overcome barriers, build confidence and enable participation in classroom and outdoor activities.

You will work with teachers and therapists, adapt your approach to individual needs, and contribute to a safe, supportive environment that fosters wellbeing and learning progress.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
  • Helping a student access learning and engage positively in education.
  • Building a trusting and supportive relationship that promotes confidence and self-esteem.
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing, social development and positive behaviour.
  • Adapting your approach to meet individual communication and learning needs.
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and life skills.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider school team to deliver personalised support plans.
  • Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements, no matter how small.
  • Supporting participation in enrichment activities, outdoor learning and educational visits.

  • Crookhey Hall School is a Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) School which caters for boys and girls aged 10 - 17 years of age. We provide young people with an educational experience that will not only extend their academic and vocational social skills and abilities but will also promote personal growth and help to build self-esteem.
