Job summary

Llangiwg Primary School is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in the foundation phase. The role is 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, temporary to 31 August 2027, with ASAP start.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and support the pupil’s independence, wellbeing and social development, in partnership with ALNCO, external professionals and families.

Qualifications

• 1:1 support for a pupil in the foundation phase.
• Experience with young children in a foundation phase setting.
• Understanding of ALN and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in our foundation phase, tailored to meet their specific learning, emotional and developmental needs
• Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Promote the pupil’s independence, wellbeing and social development
• Work closely with teaching staff, ALNCo, external professionals and parents/carers
