Job summary
Teaching Personnel in Manchester (M11) is seeking dedicated English and Maths Tutors to provide 1:1 tuition for pupils in the local area.
The role involves supporting students working below age-related expectations, preparing for exams, or needing intervention to boost confidence and attainment, with SEN experience essential.
Applicants should have QTS or relevant tutoring/teaching experience, strong English and Maths knowledge, and DBS Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of English and Maths curriculum.
- Previous experience working with SEN pupils (essential).
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 English and Maths tuition sessions.
- Adapt lessons to meet the individual learning needs of each pupil.
- Support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Plan engaging lessons to improve confidence and academic progress.
- Complete session reports following each tuition session.
