Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking dedicated SEN Specialist Tutors to provide personalised, one-to-one outreach tuition to secondary students across Manchester, from Year 7 through GCSE. The role supports learners with diverse needs, including ASC, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH, in home or community settings.

Tutors will deliver engaging, structured programmes, adapting methods to each learner and helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve academic progress.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Maths and English at secondary level.
• Previous experience supporting learners with SEN/SEND.
• DBS update service membership or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 outreach tuition for Year 7 to GCSE.
• Teach Maths and English confidently across secondary ages.
• Assess learning needs and plan personalised programmes.
• Adapt methods for different SEND profiles and learning styles.
• Support EHCP targets and GCSE preparation.
• Maintain progress records and provide feedback to families and schools.
• Collaborate with families and professionals involved in the learner's education.
