Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant for a school in Oldbury. The role involves 1:1 and small group support across Early Years to help children access learning and build confidence.

You will work with teachers and SENCOs to deliver engaging activities, support behaviour respectfully, and contribute to each pupil's social and emotional development within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
• Understanding of supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.
• Desirable but not essential: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
• Help manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
