Job summary

Coyle Homecare in Devizes is seeking a compassionate Complex Carer to deliver 1:1 care in a client’s home within a 24-hour support package. The role involves 12-hour shifts, days, nights and weekends, with full training provided to work safely with a client who has complex medical needs.

You will join a dedicated team supporting a sociable, 48-year-old man, focusing on independence, dignity and wellbeing, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professional care on every shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months' experience in complex care or neurological conditions.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to client-specific care plans.
• Practical experience in medication administration and moving & handling.
• Excellent observation and reporting skills.
• Strong communication with the service user, family and clinicians.
• Flexible 12-hour shift availability, including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 personalised care within a 24-hour package.
• Support daily living, hygiene and nutrition with dignity.
• Assist safe mobility and transfers in home and community.
• Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor health and wellbeing; report changes promptly.
• Record care activities, observations and concerns daily.
• Collaborate with family and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding standards.
