Job summary

0.7 Lecturer in Modern History (Truro)£34,397 – £37,294 per annum*

Fixed Term until 31 July 2027

Are you passionate about History and inspiring the next generation of learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Modern History to join our thriving A Level provision at Truro Campus.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated educator with a strong background in A Level History to become part of a successful, supportive, and student-focused department. You will combine excellent subject knowledge with the ability to engage and inspire learners, helping them achieve their full academic potential.

As a member of our teaching team, you will deliver high-quality lessons, contribute to an exceptional student experience, and play a key role in maintaining the high standards for which our College is recognised. In addition to teaching A Level History, you will have responsibility for a tutor group, providing guidance and support to students throughout their studies.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject
  • Holds a recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience of teaching A Level History
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine passion for their subject
  • Builds positive and effective working relationships with students and colleagues alike

The successful candidate will be a committed team player who brings energy, confidence, and dedication to every aspect of their work.

*Salary as advertised is based on a qualified lecturer. Non-qualified applicants will be considered and appointed to the non-qualified lecturer pay scale where appropriate.
