About the role
We are looking for an inspirational and committed lecturer in Sport Therapy with the ability to enthuse students and maintain excellent working relationships within a highly successful department.
The appointed candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching on Higher Education programmes and contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students.
Candidates should be confident teaching across a range of ability levels, including Levels 4, 5 and 6, and should demonstrate enthusiasm for their subject alongside a strong commitment to teamwork. The successful candidate will lead several modules, supervise sports therapy clinics, and take responsibility for a tutor group. Candidates who are new to the teaching profession will be supported by a highly experienced higher education team.
About you
Candidates must hold a Sport Therapy degree accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST), with a master’s degree being desirable. Candidates should ideally hold a relevant teaching qualification; however, this should not deter non‑qualified applicants from applying. We welcome applications from experienced industry professionals wishing to transition into teaching, and funding may be available to support teacher training.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in delivering Sport Therapy courses and/or may be a practising sports therapist seeking to move into a lecturing role. The successful candidate must be willing to engage in regular CPD to remain up to date with current research, evidence‑based practice, and emerging techniques and technologies and maintain full professional membership with the SST for the duration of employment.
We offer a generous package with benefits including 40 days annual leave plus bank holidays and College closure days, teacher pension scheme, relocation package, free on‑site parking and a variety of on‑site benefits and discounts.
