Overview

Busy principals based in the south of France seek a fantastic live-in Maintenance Manager/Handyman for their villa estate in Ramatuelle. The normal schedule will be 5.5 days per week, from 8.30am-5.30pm, with the position to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising daily maintenance activities, ensuring the villa remains in pristine condition.
• Perform regular inspections of all systems (HVAC, heat pumps and exchanges, plumbing, electrics, etc.) to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
• Performing repairs, and coordinating with contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance needs.
• Ensuring all work is completed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
• Responding promptly to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.
• General handyman jobs and repairs.
• Procurement and management of external maintenance, cleaning, and waste management.
• Liaising with the client’s security team.

Requirements

• Certified electrician or recognised qualification.
• At least 3 years experience working in high-end, residential properties.
• Familiarity with HVAC maintenance and able to perform basic repairs.
• Knowledge of heat exchanges and heat pumps.
• Fluent in English and ideally French.
• Confident driver.
• Longevity in previous roles.
• Friendly, helpful, trustworthy, and reliable character.
