Job summary

St. Leo Catholic Church in Versailles, KY is seeking a faithful, organized Part-Time Youth Ministry Coordinator to lead our middle and high school programs.

Grounded in a discipleship model, the role focuses on faith formation, prayer, and community building within a welcoming environment for teens. You will plan weekly Youth Nights, coordinate events and conferences, recruit volunteers, and collaborate with parish staff to ensure integration with parish life while upholding Safe Environment

Qualifications

• Faith & character: Practicing Catholic in good standing with a visible prayer life.
• Ministry experience: Experience with youth in parish or camp settings preferred.
• Evangelization mindset: Ability to connect with teens authentically.
• Organizational & communication skills: Clear writing and speaking, good time management.
• Clearance: Pass background check and Safe Environment certification prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Weekly youth nights and preparation for events.
• Plan, organize, and run weekly youth gatherings for teens.
• Dedicate hours weekly for curriculum, talks, activities, and logistics.
• Foster a welcoming, safe environment for middle and high schoolers.
• Create service opportunities and involvement in parish events.
• Coordinate summer conferences and seasonal events.
• Lead Steubenville and NCYC planning, travel, and chaperone prep as needed.
• Local summer programs and outreach to keep community engagement.
• Recruit, train, and mentor adult volunteers for nights and trips.
• Ensure Safe Environment compliance across all activities.
