IXO is seeking a skilled evaluator to run scientific desktop applications in real analytical workflows. You will execute tasks in Origin or MATLAB on Windows, inspect data and settings, and capture evidence that supports reliable assessments.

Deliverables include artifacts, explicit assumptions, and reproducible checks with concise reasoning for each material judgment. Remote assignments with flexible scheduling and 40 hours per week potential are offered, with pay terms clarified upfront.

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate the use of scientific desktop applications in real analytical workflows. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Execute and evaluate defined tasks in Origin or MATLAB on the applicable Windows setup.
• Inspect the data, settings and results relevant to the task, recording where application behavior diverges from the intended outcome.
• Provide clear screenshots and written observations so another evaluator can understand the state and reproduce the finding.

Required background and routes

• Professional hands-on use of Origin or MATLAB on Windows. Have legitimate access to the relevant software and your own compatible computer when applying.
• Capture images exceeding 2.5 megapixels: use a sufficiently high-resolution display, or span two monitors each at least 1920×1080 into one capture. An individual 1080p image is insufficient. Hardware, licences and virtual machines are not supplied.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. Availability planning can include 40 hours per week depending on the track. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms

Pay and working terms $50 • $60/hr USD. The agreed hourly rate, scope, schedule and acceptance criteria are confirmed before work starts. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
