Description du poste

· Responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing Microsoft Windows Server related technologies across the estate.

· Part of a team providing 24x7 platform support internationally.

· Implementation of automated solutions adhering to the strategic goals within the department.

Primary responsibilities:

1. Ensure that all project/investment related workloads are delivered according to plans and defined budgets.
2. Take part in the team rota including on-call and weekend working.
3. Deliver against team BAU responsibilities.
4. Identify savings across project & BAU activities to be implemented through automation involving a process flow of Service Now -> AWX -> Ansible / scripting.
5. Support customer requirements through ticket-based task management as well as implementation of automation.

Secondary responsibilities:

1. Take part in daily health and compliance checks for all Production systems as required.
2. Ensure all Windows Server systems are backed up successfully and any issues are promptly resolved.
3. Validate monitoring alerts are detected promptly and satisfactorily resolved.
4. Ensure sufficient capacity is available to accommodate projected BAU & project growth.
5. Respond to emails sent to the team distribution list in a timely manner.
6. Handle incidents and requests with efficiency and a “customer first” mindset.
7. Maintain Windows Server platforms in a highly available, reliable, secure, and performant manner.
8. Perform general maintenance activities.
9. Provide technical support to application support and development teams.
10. Provide consultancy to application support and development teams.
11. Execute disaster recovery procedures when necessary and take part in regular DR tests.
12. Ensure patches and security updates are applied as per defined policies.
13. Maintain all operational procedures to ensure they are current and accurate.
14. Take part in On-Call & weekend work rotation; triaging and addressing production issues as they arise.
15. Identify cost saving and optimisation opportunities across the group.
16. Build strong working relationships across the organisation.
17. Adhere to the core values of the bank.

Technical skills and knowledge:

• Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 related technologies.
• CI/CD pipelines and other automation concepts.
• Git or other source code control software.
• Security hardening principles in line with CIS industry benchmarks.
• Excellent knowledge of networking, storage, database, and virtualization layers.
• Clustering and high-availability technologies.
• Replication and disaster recovery.
• Security and auditing.
• Excellent knowledge of data security governance and regulations such as GDPR and SOX.
