Norsk Hydro is seeking a highly skilled welding specialist to develop, qualify, and execute welding activities for structural components in railway applications. The role is responsible for supporting the development, qualification, and execution of welding activities for structural components in railway applications (MIG, TIG, FSW). It combines deep technical welding expertise with strong knowledge of standards, materials, and quality requirements specific to the rail sector. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with key railway standards such as EN 15085, and ISO 3834 and ensures compliance with other quality standards, HSE regulations, and customer requirements.
In addition, the role supports the Automotive Sector in the selection of appropriate technologies, cost evaluation, and serial equipment planning, while also guiding, advising, and challenging the production sites.
