Offer Description

The M2S laboratory (Movement, Sport, Health - University of Rennes 2/ENS Rennes) is looking for an experienced IT project manager to lead its contribution to the European project Youth Health From a Holistic Perspective (YEAH!), funded by Horizon Europe. This central role requires expertise in inter-organizational coordination to develop an innovative web/mobile application aimed at improving the health of young people through personalized digital tools, in partnership with 17 European academic and industrial stakeholders.

Strategic Context of the Project

The YEAH! project aims to create a digital ecosystem that promotes positive social interactions to influence the health behaviors of European children and adolescents. M2S plays a key technical role in co-developing the web/mobile application with a Rennes-based company, which includes:

A rights management system adapted to user profiles (parents, healthcare professionals, minors).

An interface with physical activity trackers for collecting biometric data, requiring expertise in hardware interfacing.

The technical architecture will need to include content personalization, sensitive data security (GDPR), and interoperability with external devices, including clinical databases and connected sensors.

Key tasks

Cross-functional project management

Under the supervision of the project manager and in collaboration with the project team, you will:

Coordinate technical development with the company by aligning deliverables with the scientific requirements of the partners.

Participate in the drafting of the data management plan (DMP), including:

Secure archiving of source codes and data sets.

Differentiated access control for partners.

Documentation of processing workflows.

Apply an agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban) to adapt the schedule to user feedback.

Link with YEAH! project partners.

Your role will involve:

Weekly technical meetings with partners to prioritize features and resolve issues.

Constant mediation between the scientific requirements of partners and the technical constraints of the Rennes-based company.

Joint validation of prototypes, particularly for the hardware interface of activity sensors.

Drafting progress reports in English for the consortium.

Operational framework

The success of the project depends on close collaboration with the Rennes-based company, involving:

Co-construction of sprints: Active participation in agile rituals (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews).

Iterative validation of prototypes via user tests coordinated by M2S.

Shared risk management: Joint identification of critical points (e.g., interfacing with external databases).

A regular steering committee will bring together representatives from M2S, the company, and the consortium to validate strategic directions.

Autonomy: Ability to make decisions while maintaining alignment with the consortium's objectives.

Communication: Proficiency in technical English to participate in co-design workshops with international partners.

Conflict management: Ability to arbitrate conflicting demands between stakeholders.

Required experience

Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in managing complex projects involving technical and multilingual components.

Experience in supplier/customer coordination, ideally in the healthcare or educational technology sector.

Knowledge of GDPR issues and security standards for minors' data.
