Share, based in Paris, is seeking a VP & Staff Software Engineer to own critical technical domains like the payments pipeline and billing engine. You will work closely with the CTO and a team to create production systems handling real financial transactions.

The ideal candidate has over 7 years in software engineering and extensive experience integrating payment gateways. This is a high-ownership role in a mission-driven team focused on building infrastructure for Africa’s internet.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 in backend systems handling real financial transactions.
• Deep understanding of STK push flows, webhook idempotency, and reconciliation.
• Experience working with AI tools as part of daily engineering workflow.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of critical technical domains like the payments pipeline and billing engine.
• Work directly with the CTO and a small team to ship production systems.
• Make architectural decisions and unblock the team when they hit technical walls.

Deep TypeScript/Node.js expertise

Strong PostgreSQL skills

Production experience with payment gateway integrations

Experience with event-driven architectures

Ability to ship production code
