ONT is seeking a recognized commercial leader with a proven track record in equivalent industries and experience across both early-stage and established organizations. We desire a team player who understands disruptive strategy and will drive activities to elevate ONT's commercial growth. This role will have leadership and overall line management responsibility for the EMEAI sales leadership team, encompassing both field and office-based sales and channel partner sales. Additionally, this role will collaborate cross-functionally to represent ONT in the market and work with teams such as Market Development, Global Services, Marketing, Business Development, and Strategic Projects to foster growth.
Duties :
- Strategic planning of commercial activities with senior sales leaders and the executive team to disrupt the existing NGS market, expand penetration, and explore new markets across EMEAI.
- Develop, coach, and lead the Regional sales leadership team to achieve aggressive sales growth aligned with the business strategy.
- Manage and communicate device and consumable forecasting and trends to senior commercial stakeholders.
- Drive profitable revenue across the product portfolio and meet commercial KPIs for all systems in EMEAI.
- Define team-specific KPIs and ensure compliance with best practice sales processes, keeping teams updated on technical innovations from ONT, customers, and the market.
- Set individual KPIs to measure early success and performance of new sales team members and specialized sales functions.
- Collaborate effectively with regional managers across departments to ensure alignment, efficiency, and continuous improvement in commercial execution.
- Identify and nurture high-level KOL relationships in priority areas.
- Develop and execute regional strategic plans, including country-specific plans for selected countries.

Person Specification :
Qualifications / Education :
- Advanced Degree in molecular biology, genomics, or equivalent experience. An MBA is desirable but not essential.
Experience :
- Extensive track record as a commercial leader in an industry similar to ONT, selling products and/or services within EMEAI.
- Proven experience engaging with C-suite executives.
- Excellence in sales strategy, leading remote teams, and employing a consultative selling approach.
- Experience and network in the Life Sciences industry, including Research Life Sciences, Biotech, Healthcare, and Pharmaceuticals.
- Strong management skills with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience in generating technical value propositions.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Deep knowledge of genomics and life sciences, combined with extensive commercial experience.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
