Description du poste

The VP, Integration Engineering provides critical direction for the strategic management of enterprise-level application integrations. This role serves as a member of the IT leadership team and leads the definition and development of enterprise-level technologies and services that are used to integrate API applications with client and third-party applications to deliver solutions for our clients.

Hybrid role, requiring 3 days in our Markham office.

Essential Functions:

  1. Requires extensive interaction with customers, third-party technology partners, and internal management of software application development.
  2. Responsible for developing solution architectures, creating and owning implementations, and driving API technology deployments. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role.
  3. Oversee enterprise application development activities and provide strategic vision and leadership.
  4. Initiate and foster business partnerships across the organization to increase efficiency and effectiveness, balancing business needs with API priorities and strategies.
  5. Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, ensuring high stability and performance for enterprise applications.
  6. Develop and employ standardized approaches and frameworks for integration, including near-real-time and batch data.
  7. Stay informed about new vulnerabilities and apply security knowledge to protect applications and data.
  8. Leverage SaaS and PaaS services effectively.
  9. Incorporate critical application improvements into release cycles to enhance stability.
  10. Follow industry-standard development and deployment processes (SDLC, DevOps, version control).
  11. Provide oversight to software developers, including performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
  1. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. At least 10 years of related experience, including managerial experience in software technology for complex applications.
  2. Experience with performance management, managing teams, resource forecasting, hiring, job development, organizational structure, skills forecasting, and coaching.
  3. Experience leading the implementation and customization of large-scale, mission-critical applications with real-time data integration.
  4. Strong experience working with client technology teams to design optimized system integrations.
  5. Hands-on software development experience using Java technologies, Apache Tomcat, Weblogic, and TomEE.
  6. Experience with SOAP/REST web services using XML/JSON.
  7. Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, deployment tools, and container orchestration.
  8. Background in airline and travel applications and standards.
  9. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including business development, product, and program management.
Position Details

Type and Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes
