The Junior Financial Controller reports to and works closely with the Financial Controller of Thales NSEA based in Singapore. The scope covers more than 10 countries in Asia.
The job holder has 2 main responsibilities :
- Financial control and monitoring of the Key Industrial Partners (KIP)
- Audit and Internal Control
1. Financial control and monitoring of the Key Industrial Partners
- Analyze the Financial statement of Thales Key Industrial Partners;
- Assess the financial capacity of the partner
- Assess the link between financial and industrial capacities and the project planned
- Identify any ethical issue
- Prepare and submit to the Financial Controller / CFO the financial due diligence memos on the KIP as per company policy;
- Check and report all the Show-stoppers and Risk factors during the qualification process and the follow-up action plans;
- Follow-up pro-actively the KIP due diligence processes with dashboards;
- Assist the local team in various requests for finance information regarding KIP (COO, CCO, KIP managers, IOD, and legal department);
In this role, the Junior Financial Controller works closely with the KIP managers, legal department, IOD, COO, and CCO of the regional company, and with various stakeholders in the countries. He also interacts directly with the KIP to resolve finance-related compliance issues.
2. Control
- Prepare the sampling with stakeholders for quarterly control review;
- Generate the Control Memo and create an action plan in case of control deficiency;
- Develop and deploy an internal control plan for all the non-consolidated countries of the region;
Requirements
- Master's degree with 2 years of experience in accounting / finance
- Financial analysis experience
- Ability to read and analyze Financial Statements (Balance sheet, P&L, and Notes of the Financial Statements)
- Advanced Magnitude Essbase and Kyriba knowledge and experience, and good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently with clear direction
- Excellent judgment, planning, and organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented, reliable, thorough, and able to synthesize risks with a good overview
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
