IXO is seeking a skilled video editor to turn professional editing judgment into IXO scenarios and reference critiques, from the first review of raw footage to the final cut.

You will author reference critiques covering pacing, continuity, colour and sound, assess edits for visual coherence, movement and production quality, and demonstrate timeline workflows in professional editing tools. This remote, asynchronous engagement pays USD 55–95 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least two years of delivered video-editing or post-production work.
• Portfolio or reel required demonstrating editing work.
• Hands-on proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut.
• Clear written English for critiques and documentation.

Your work at IXO

Turn professional editing judgment into IXO scenarios and reference critiques, from the first review of raw footage to the final cut. Explain why an edit works, as well as how it was made.

Responsibilities

• Author realistic editing tasks with the footage, context and decisions needed for a useful evaluation.
• Write reference critiques covering pacing, continuity, colour, sound and editorial intent.
• Assess generated video for visual coherence, movement and practical production quality.
• Demonstrate timeline workflows in professional editing tools.
• Document where an apparently polished cut would fail a professional review.

Required experience and preparation

You need at least two years of delivered video-editing or post-production work, a reel or portfolio, and hands‑on proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut. Clear written English and availability for at least ten hours per week are required.

• Motion graphics, 2D/3D animation, After Effects, Cinema 4D or Blender experience adds value.
• Colour grading, sound design and broadcast, agency or high-volume social production are relevant additional backgrounds.

Deliverables and engagement

Deliverables include editing scenarios, timeline demonstrations, model-output reviews and reference critiques. The work is remote and asynchronous. Assignment volume and the working schedule will be agreed before engagement.

Pay is $55 $95/hr in USD. IXO will agree the scope, deliverables and schedule before work begins.
