Job Title: Vice President of Business Development – Full-Service CRDMO (APIs)

Location: Remote (EU/UK preferred)

Seniority Level: Individual Contributor

A leading pharmaceutical and contract development and manufacturing organisation (CRDMO) is looking for an experienced commercial leader to drive business development across its full-service API offering in Europe. With end-to-end capabilities spanning R&D, scale-up, manufacturing, and regulatory support, the company is seeking a highly driven and connected professional to expand its footprint with pharmaceutical and biotech clients across the region.

This is a senior, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives on building new relationships, uncovering opportunities, and closing complex deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for full-service API development and manufacturing across Europe
  • Establish and grow relationships with key decision-makers at pharmaceutical and biotech companies
  • Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Represent the company’s technical capabilities and service offerings with a clear, client-focused approach
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including technical, regulatory, project management, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with client needs
  • Maintain and expand a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities
  • Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to support strategic planning
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings across Europe

Required Experience:

  • Proven track record in business development within the pharmaceutical CDMO/CRDMO space
  • Deep understanding of API development and manufacturing services
  • Strong commercial network within Europe, particularly across small to mid-sized pharma and biotech companies
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and closing multi-million euro contracts
  • Comfortable working autonomously with a hunter mindset and high level of accountability
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
