As the leader for the Controls and Software Strategic Business Unit (SBU), the Vice President is responsible for targeting, encouraging, and maintaining a market leadership position globally. They will lead efforts across all regions to establish our C&S brands as the primary supplier within targeted industry segments. Through strategy setting, team leadership, market analysis, business and product development programs, pricing strategies, and portfolio management, the Vice President will oversee the SBU's overall business strategy, which is critical to our financial performance.

This position will be based in Modena, Italy, or Augsburg, Germany, with applications welcomed from candidates willing to relocate to either location.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Generate and implement targeted, measurable growth plans through product and service solutions.
  • Mentor teams on marketing strategies for specific segments and regions, including messaging.
  • Lead strategic growth and profitability initiatives representing the C&S portfolio.
  • Participate in project and account planning and execution.
  • Evaluate market dynamics such as segment growth, opportunities, and trends impacting performance.
  • Manage C&S pricing strategies, aiming for annual price increases.
  • Assess and prioritize market opportunities based on potential, customer feedback, and ROI.
  • Evaluate markets and business opportunities outside current areas based on unmet needs and segmentation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications to generate collateral supporting sales efforts.
  • Develop processes and resources to evaluate product portfolio for growth and margin improvements, including expansions, consolidations, or obsolescence.
  • Identify product gaps and white space opportunities, proposing R&D initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally to evaluate and prioritize new product and solution opportunities.
  • Maintain a portfolio management rhythm, overseeing product performance and lifecycle planning.
  • Ensure effective training tools and materials are utilized by customer-facing teams, updating collateral and strategies as needed.
  • Share successes globally through coordinated campaigns and programs.
  • Lead and manage teams aligned with our Vision and Mission, including communication, training, mentoring, and performance management.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Relevant experience in sales, marketing, industrial hardware/software, and management, appropriate for this level.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply analytics to business problems.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
