A global leader in natural solutions is seeking an Agronomist - Vegetal Production Manager to oversee the development and production of aromatic botanicals. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in agronomy with a preference for candidates familiar with Madagascar. You will work to improve quality, reduce costs, and implement sustainability certifications while collaborating with diverse teams across multiple cultures.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Madagascar.
• Competencies in agronomy and knowledge of extraction processes.
• Experience with certification standards (Organic, Sustainable, etc.) is a plus.

Job Summary

As Agronomist - Vegetal Production Manager, you will report to the Platform Development Manager. This position is based in Madagascar or any other location where IFF/LMR has a production partnership.

Role and Missions:

• Assist local partners in developing and monitoring the production of various aromatic botanicals, managing collection and on-the-field transformation.
• Aim to improve quality, secure supply, and reduce costs of natural raw materials used by IFF.
• Participate in ensuring continuous production through proactive process management.
• Be responsible for implementing findings developed by our agronomist R&D team.
• Provide all necessary technical support to partners at the source.
• Assist local partners in implementing and maintaining sustainability certifications.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of vegetable production of various botanicals used in fragrances and flavors.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in Madagascar.
• Competencies in agronomy (mandatory) and initial extraction processes (a plus).
• Knowledge or experience with certification standards (Organic, Sustainable, ESR, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with partners across different countries and cultures, including R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Sales teams.

• Demonstrated team-building and leadership experience is preferred.
• Curiosity and commitment to sharing our values of sustainable development.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
