Description du poste

About

Swan is Europe’s embedded banking specialist. Founded in 2019, the company has received growth capital from leading investors such as Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Bpifrance and Eight Roads. Swan is a principal member of Mastercard and a licensed financial institution, regulated by the French banking authority (ACPR).

Our mission

Banking belongs in business software

Many software companies already serve small businesses incredibly well: helping them send invoices, run payroll, manage inventory, and more. They’re on a mission to become the central hub for managing every aspect of business life.

But when it comes to financial workflows, there’s still a gap. Too many critical tasks like managing cash flow, tracking payments, or reconciling accounts happen outside the software, across spreadsheets, email threads, banking portals.

It’s a missed opportunity. Business software shouldn’t just record financial activity — it should run it.

Job description

The Documentation team at Swan creates essential content for our Partners and their end-users. As a UX Writing and Localization Apprentice, you'll dedicate your time to managing the localization of end-user and Partner content into seven languages and support on the UX writing for these audiences. You'll join a collaborative team focused on empowering all our stakeholders globally.

Your mission

Your primary mission is to learn and contribute equally to the efficient and high-quality localization of Swan's end-user and Partner content by managing freelance translators and to the creation of clear and effective UX writing for these same users.

Main Tasks

  • Localization (50%):
    • Manage the end-to-end localization process for end-user and Partner content into seven languages by coordinating with freelance translators.
    • Help maintain translation resources and provide feedback to ensure quality and consistency.
  • UX Writing (50%):
    • Assist in writing and refining user interface text for end-user and Partner facing platforms, adhering to Swan's style guidelines and UX best practices.
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure a consistent and helpful user experience.

Curious about your future team?

Our collaborative team focuses on delivering excellent documentation and localized content for our diverse audience, including Partners, Developers, and end-users. We partner closely with Product and Engineering, and our stakeholders include various internal teams and our network of freelance translators. We value open communication and continuous improvement to support all our users globally through clear, concise language and accessible translations.

Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about both project/vendor management and user-centered writing principles.
  • You have excellent English communication skills and a strong interest in both the craft of writing for user interfaces and the process of adapting content for a global audience.
  • Fluency in another of the seven target languages is a plus; you are proactive and keen to contribute to content that is both well-written and culturally relevant for a wide range of users.
  • Our ideal teammate: Empathetic. Skilled. Frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.

It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes — don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying!
