Summary: Appraise, purchase, recondition, display, and merchandise the used vehicle inventory. This position requires knowledge and the ability to research the market value of inventory and maintain a profitable, current day-to-day operation.
- Maintain vehicle inventory: Acquire vehicles through various methods including auction (in person and online), lease purchases, street purchases, and KBB Buying Center purchases.
- Keep Inventory Fresh: Hold aged inventory for a maximum of 30-45 days. Use provided tools for pricing and quick turnaround, maintaining a fast inventory turn rate.
- Manage Lot and Inventory: Ensure vehicles are reconditioned within cost and time limits, with a goal of under 5 days from acquisition to front line, and manage display of used vehicles.
- Pricing Inventory: Apply transparent and fair pricing strategies, utilizing all resources to avoid aged inventory and price vehicles according to market demand.
- Collaborate with the Used Vehicle Acquisition Manager and follow all departmental directions.
- Use DMS to accurately enter and maintain inventory data.
- Follow all processes regarding certification and CarBravo programs.
- Communicate daily with the New Vehicles Sales Manager to meet sales needs.
- Build relationships with Sales Associates and ensure team goals are met.
- Provide training and support on all used inventory matters.
- Assist with customer issues related to inventory and prior purchases, ensuring high standards for vehicle delivery.
- Lead by example, embodying Bergey’s Behaviors of integrity, kindness, clarity, and positivity.
- Train sales team members in appraisal procedures, including Walk Around Trade Appraisal Forms and ICO.
- Oversee efforts to enhance the dealership’s image and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in managing the sales floor activities, including greeting customers, desking deals, and coordinating financing.
- Navigate OEM tools and DMS for inventory management, sales desking, and reporting.
- Utilize CRM (Vin Solutions) to track sales progress and activities.
- Approach all situations with a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service.
- Attend management meetings and complete required training.
- Provide leadership, communication, and time management skills to the sales team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug test
