Open to contractual staff; the position is primarily available through a statutory route. Non-public service laureates may be recruited directly as this is an entry-level grade (category C) without a competitive exam.

Position: Maintenance Technician / Team Leader at Lycée du Pays d'Aunis, Surgères

Required qualifications: Maintenance-related diploma, CACES, and certifications.

Management: Yes; Number of team members supervised: 11

Work location: Site in Poitiers, administrative residence in Surgères, Department 17, LP PAYS D'AUNIS, under the authority of the President of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region.

Resources provided: Personal protective equipment, maintenance tools, cleaning supplies, maintenance guide.

Working conditions

Autonomous or team work across multiple establishments; mandatory safety gear; handling detergents; moving equipment and furniture; minor manual tasks.

Working hours: 1607 hours/year, with potential adjustments as needed.

Main missions

• Oversee maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and installations across building specialties (electricity, plumbing, interior layout, finishes).
• Lead, coordinate, and manage technical teams for building maintenance.
• Plan and organize annual work schedules and daily tasks.

Activities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in electrical, sanitary, thermal, and finishing fields.
• Ensure safety and operational quality of facilities and equipment.
• Assist in simple construction projects and manage inventory of spare parts and materials.
• Lead and organize technical teams, evaluate staff, and manage replacements.
• Plan activities, propose schedules, and anticipate workload peaks.
• Advise management on technical choices, manage procurement, and ensure regulatory documentation.
• Contribute to ecological and energy transition initiatives.

Secondary activities

• Supervise work, assist with technical inspections, participate in green space maintenance, and outdoor clearance during bad weather.

Candidate profile

Knowledge: Safety rules, regulations for public buildings, organizational knowledge of public service, environmental standards, safety and hygiene norms, eco-responsibility principles.
