Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks an Ultrasound Intern to perform diagnostic procedures under supervision. The role supports the Ultrasound Section of the Radiology Department, ensuring proper exam protocol and timely documentation in the RIS.

The intern will work under direct and indirect supervision, handling patient interaction, equipment operation, QA of exams, and participation in performance improvement projects to maintain high standards of care.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Sonography certificate or diploma program.
• ARRT (Sonography) or ARDMS Registry eligible required.
• Interns must be registered by ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography) within 12 months.
• Current AHA BLS required.

Responsabilidades

• Competent to perform all procedures within the Ultrasound Section of Radiology.
• Competent in technical operations of all equipment.
• Assess patients and review orders to confirm reason for exam.
• Document pertinent symptoms and clinical history; obtain signed consent if needed.
• Prepare patients, answer questions, and communicate with supervising radiologist.
