Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations under the Radiologist's supervision. Coordinate daily activities, including exams and clerical duties, within a 36-hour work week.

Responsibilities include radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures, patient history documentation, identification verification, contrast administration, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire; CPR certification required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and patient population needs.

Pay Range:

$28.55 - $42.85

Atrium Health Cabarrus is a regional 457-bed, not-for-profit hospital in Concord, NC. More than 4,200 hospital employees provide services through an extensive inpatient and outpatient network, including Jeff Gordon Children’s Center, Hayes Family Center and Batte Cancer Center, part of Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute.

Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.

Certification / License

Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
