Job Responsibilities

  1. Be responsible for creating high-quality UI art assets for game menus and user interfaces based on designs and directions provided by the UX/UI designer.
  2. Implement UI art assets collaboratively with gameplay programmers and designers, ensuring proper final implementation of all user interface features.
  3. Maintain asset quality standards, ensure consistency with existing content and standards, and coordinate design criteria across teams.
  4. Collaborate with other development teams (content, system design, gameplay programming) to communicate design information effectively and meet the expectations of game directors.
  5. Seek solutions to optimize asset quality, technical performance, and streamline asset creation pipelines and workflows.
  6. Consider technical and production constraints, managing risks and uncertainties in your area.
  7. Establish and share best practices for design creation, documentation, workflows, methodologies, and tooling.
  8. Participate in troubleshooting buggy features and system optimizations, advocating for reworks when necessary to achieve quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong graphic design background with artistic skills, a keen eye for composition, color theory, and artistic sensitivity.
  • Proficiency with UI graphic design tools, wireframing, and prototyping tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma).
  • Familiarity with animation tools for creating animated UI mockups (e.g., After Effects, Flash).
  • Solid knowledge of UI/UX best practices is a strong plus.
  • Experience shipping at least one game as a UI artist.
  • Significant experience in a video game development team as a UI artist, preferably in F2P RPGs or MMORPGs.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics simply and adopt a user-centric approach to UI design.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and meticulous working habits to ensure high-quality output.
  • Creativity, flexibility, openness to feedback, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of The Division IP universe and passion for believable, grounded game worlds is a plus.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and mobile platform development are strong pluses.
  • Passion for playing and making games, with in-depth knowledge of the game industry, especially top RPGs in the F2P and GaaS genres.
  • Understanding of the full game development cycle from conception to live operations.

  1. 30-minute remote phone interview with a Talent Acquisition Specialist.
