The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of SUPPLY (Receiving) Clerk in the Management Section.

Opening Date: March 21, 2016
Closing Date: April 04, 2016
Open to: All Interested Candidates / All Sources
Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
*Ordinarily Resident (OR): Position Grade: FSN-5
CFA 6,763,923 per annum (Starting Salary)

Not-Ordinarily Resident (NOR): FP-9
*Final grade/step for NORs will be determined by Washington

All OR applicants (see Appendix A for definition) must have the required work and/or residency permits to be eligible.

Basic Function of the Position

The incumbent is primarily responsible for receiving, tracking, and distributing official shipments for the Department of State and related agencies. Performance is rated by the Warehouse Supervisor and reviewed by the GS Specialist.

Qualifications Required

  1. Education: Completion of secondary school required.
  2. Prior Work Experience: One year of clerical or office experience required. Level II English (limited knowledge) speaking and reading required. Level II French (limited knowledge) speaking and reading required. English skills will be tested.
  3. Job Knowledge: Must have thorough knowledge of U.S. Government procurement practices and regulations, with understanding of B&F and shipping functions related to purchasing. Familiarity with local vendors for goods and services is required.
  4. Skills and Abilities: Ability to prepare and type reports in English and French. Must have interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all embassy levels and with vendors. Communication skills will be tested.
