Description du poste

We are looking for a Tunneling Project Manager to support our growing operations on international tunneling and microtunneling projects, with expansion into North America, Middle East, and Africa, managing over 15-20 projects worldwide annually.

You will report to the Operations Director and join a passionate team of around 100 professionals, including project engineers, site managers, foremen, tunnel boring machine operators, and technicians.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Supervising project setup, including methods selection, workforce and equipment planning, and scheduling.
• Ensuring project progress within technical and budget constraints, and managing claims.
• Preparing and reviewing the project's preliminary and ongoing budgets.
• Representing BESSAC in meetings with clients, project owners, design offices, and subcontractors.
• Managing contractual agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Leading the project team to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Overseeing safety and environmental compliance.

Support from central teams such as Operations, Technical Services, Legal, HR, and Finance will be available to ensure project success.

Ideal Candidate Skills:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works, Geotechnics, or related field, with tunneling specialization preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience managing underground, public works, or geotechnical projects, including design-build contracts.
• Strong team management skills, working with diverse internal and external teams.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish and additional languages is advantageous.

Additional Considerations:

This role involves extensive travel, with projects potentially located in remote areas and lasting several months, such as microtunneling in the Chilean desert or projects in Albanian mountains or coastal regions.
