Le Département du Gers recherche un éducateur spécialisé pour développer des actions de prévention et assurer le suivi éducatif des enfants et familles. Le candidat idéal aura un diplôme d'État en travail social, des compétences en organisation et une bonne capacité d'écoute. Ce poste implique des déplacements fréquents et peut inclure des heures supplémentaires en fonction des besoins des familles.

Description du poste

Responsibilities:

1. Develop collective prevention actions,
2. Ensure educational support for children and families, and promote maintaining family ties,
3. Follow up on children entrusted to ASE by judicial decision or at parents' request,
4. Monitor contractual measures with families: home educational action (AED) and in-depth assessment period (PEA),
5. Support and guide young adults in developing their projects,
6. Participate in local prevention initiatives through collaboration with local actors and partners,
7. Assist in the approval process of foster families,
8. Report on activities and case summaries to ASE and institutional partners,
9. Attend hearings (alone or with ASE staff) and participate in multidisciplinary internal meetings at MDS,
10. Welcome and train interns.

Qualifications:

• State diploma in social work, specialized educator, or early childhood educator,
• Knowledge of child protection legal and regulatory framework,
• Organization and rigor in work,
• Excellent writing and synthesis skills,
• Familiarity with IT tools,
• Good listening skills and ability to engage with individuals facing significant psychosocial difficulties,
• Rigor in following procedures,
• Adaptability,
• Ability to work in team and partnership.
