Job Description

To replace a colleague who will soon be leaving on extended maternity leave, we are looking to recruit a junior English Mother Tongue / Native-Level fluent translator to translate a wide variety of documents and handle translation projects with our internal clients and network of external translation providers. The period will be from mid-August 2025 until end-September 2026 .

You will be joining our in-house team of two experienced senior translators based in Paris. Under their direction, one of your most important tasks will be to assimilate all the processes related to managing the company’s translation projects, particularly the most critical ones (Universal Registration Document, Integrated Report, Annual General Meeting, annual / half-year / quarterly results presentations).

You will be expected to reach rapidly a level where you would be able to take over part or all of these projects in the absence of either one of the senior translators.

Responsibilites

Working closely with the senior translators, you will take part in the translation projects of Bouygues SA and of its subsidiaries :

  • Producing and proofing translations from French into English
  • Managing translation projects in several different language combinations
  • Drafting of schedules in liaison with in-house clients and ensuring compliance with these schedules
  • Understanding and following the specific processes for each in-house client
  • Handling projects with external freelance translators
  • Using Trados Studio and Sturnis disclosure management software to assist translation project management
  • Updating and adding to in-house terminology using Trados Multiterm

Requirements

  • A university degree plus a post-graduate qualification in translation and at least three to five years as a translation professional (any other relevant combination of training and experience may be considered)
  • Must have an excellent command of the French language and culture
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Trados Studio (familiarity with Groupshare a plus) or in another CAT tool, and of Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience in financial and / or legal translation a plus
  • A very high level of proficiency in another language (German or Spanish) a plus
