Contract type: Temporary work contract

Contractual hours: Full time

Duration: 36 months

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC.

Job Summary

The incumbent has the primary responsibility of facilitating competence development through conducting needs assessments against the job competency models, gauging skills gaps, and supporting the process to address these gaps for employees within technical disciplines. The incumbent may design, deliver, and follow through on training interventions. The role is critical in developing national university graduates into independent role holders within their disciplines. The role involves collaboration with educational institutions to track students’ progress and provide counseling as necessary.

Primary Accountabilities
  1. Collaborate with the business to facilitate the competency assessment process for corporate disciplines.
  2. Assist line management in identifying training needs based on competency gaps to implement appropriate learning interventions.
  3. Design, establish, follow-up, and evaluate training programs to develop nationals into permanent positions.
  4. Prepare and deliver orientation and training sessions as required.
  5. Facilitate rotational assignments for new joiners to understand organizational processes and the value chain.
  6. Prepare periodic progress reports to inform management and HR about graduates' performance and progress.
  7. Evaluate and recommend the placement of graduates into responsible positions following their development.
  8. Maintain competency and training records, update systems, and ensure records are current.
Profile

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Certified Workplace Assessor and Internal Verifier are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Manufacturing Industry.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and good computer literacy.
