Job Title: Locality Expert

Aceolution is urgently seeking a local resident in Paris, France, proficient in English and the local language, with a strong understanding of automobile industry trends, local transport, speed limits, and traffic regulations. This individual will be hired for the role of Locality Expert.

Position Overview:

As an Urban Planner / Locality Expert, you will provide in-depth knowledge and insights into local automotive markets, trends, regulations, and consumer preferences.

Employment Details:

• Type: Contract
• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Paris, France (Remote)

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct market research on trends in the automotive industry, including speed limits and electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS).
2. Collaborate with policy teams to develop policies relevant to the local context.
3. Perform meta quality checks and random audits to identify quality issues.
4. Create and monitor country-specific quality metrics, providing feedback to client teams.
5. Serve as the country owner for queries related to basemap features beyond Transit.
6. Curate and interpret region-specific speed limits and traffic rules.
7. Research news, government notices, and updates from highway agencies, especially regarding scheduled maintenance or repairs.
8. Identify edge cases and gaps in algorithms related to traffic signs and urban area logic.
9. Provide insights to prioritize issues based on local knowledge, such as problematic missing signs.
10. Support outreach with government and transit authorities to understand upcoming changes and data issues.
11. Assist partnership teams with local knowledge and context.
12. Consult on various road signs to provide local interpretations and understanding.
13. Participate in quality assurance and certification processes to maintain high data standards in the country.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, urban planning, traffic management, signals, or signage.
• Strong understanding of market research methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in both the local language and English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective multi-project management skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
