Job Description

Based in New York City, United States (no remote) Talan can sponsor French, Canadian, Mexican, and Australian citizens for a U.S. work permit

We are seeking a talented Application Support Analyst to join our team and provide global production support for critical trading platforms across FX and ETD (Exchange-Traded Derivatives). This role is based on the trading floor, directly interfacing with traders, quants, and sales teams. You will act as the primary IT contact for daily operations and help ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of front-office applications.

The role begins with a 3-month training period in Paris, after which the successful candidate will be assigned to New York office.

Role and responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical and functional support for FX and Derivatives trading platforms, including algorithmic trading tools and order routing systems.
  • Monitor platform stability and performance, ensuring high availability, low latency, and reliable connectivity to markets
  • Act as the first point of contact for incidents, resolving production issues and coordinating with traders, developers, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
  • Manage application releases, deployments, and post-rollout validation to ensure seamless integration into production environments.
  • Support client FIX connectivity, OMS/EMS workflows, and post-trade STP processes.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to drive system improvements, enhance platform resilience, and optimize functional capabilities.
  • Participate in change management activities, including planning, documentation, and coordination of production updates.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing, maintain up-to-date documentation, and follow global best practices for application support.

Qualifications
  • Willingness to complete training in Paris and relocate to New York City.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Quantitative Finance.
  • Minimum 2.5 years of post-graduate experience in the financial industry.
  • Ideally a solid understanding of financial markets, especially FX and Derivatives.
  • Experience with FIX protocol, Linux, scripting (e.g., Bash/Python), and network protocols.
  • Knowledge of algorithmic trading, pricing engines, and market connectivity.
  • Familiarity with OMS/EMS platforms, STP flows, and post-trade environments.
  • Strong understanding of incident/problem resolution, release management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset.
  • Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.

  • The salary range for this role is US$100,000 - US$140,000
