Overview

If you are looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opening for you as a Trade Compliance Manager. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all Flow Controls trade activities within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region follow international trade regulations and company policies. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, managing import/export operations, and providing guidance on trade compliance matters. We look forward to seeing your application!

Responsibilities
  • Develop and support Trade Compliance staff for growth and leadership and ensure resourcing is adequate for maintaining a robust EMEA Trade Compliance organization.
  • Promote development and implementation of harmonized policies and procedures across the business unit.
  • Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to international trade regulations.
  • Conduct assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks and ensure ARCHER Programs are active and up to date.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on trade compliance requirements and best practices. Primary point of contact for EMEA Trade Compliance escalations.
  • Consult with Emerson Legal, government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with trade laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and update company policies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and ensure compliance with trade regulations, including benchmark and supporting OPEX program.
  • Support PEC and associated regional/country specific regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trade compliance software.
  • Willingness to travel within the EMEA region.
  • English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
